Hello all! I know it is not technically June anymore, but I thought you wouldn't mind if I went ahead and posted my take on the June sketch anyway.
I just love to work with sketches, because it takes the guess work out of the design and let's me do what I love to do... mix and match papers and embellishments. I know some of you may look at a sketch that is purposely designed for a layout with space for photos and think, "how am I supposed to use this sketch for a card?" Well, it's really not that hard. On this card I made using the sketch, I turned the sketch upside down and replaced the photo blocks with patterned paper. I replaced the journaling with ribbon, and I also added cross stitches for the embellishments at each of the corners.
Collage Press supplies used:
Knave of Hearts Collection: Charming and Loveable
Knave of Hearts Collection: Die-Cut Shapes and Die-Cut Journaling Tags
Sweet Shoppe Collection: Alphabet Stickers
Just remember, it is not always necessary to adhere to the exact layout of a sketch. Sometimes it can be the jump start you need to get your creative juices flowing. Hope this one gets you inspired to get out your Collage Press papers and embellishments and get scrapping. Have a great 4th of July!
